Performs complex machining and tool and die design operations to ensure that the company makes parts to specifications required by the customer.   Qualifications:        Broad knowledge of company machines, products and tooling a necessity.  Demonstrates skill on and knowledge of wide variety of machines.  Self directed and able to operate independently, with other areas of the company as well as teamed with work partners.  Visualizes three dimensionally.  Manual dexterity and mechanically inclined.  Capable of training apprentices and co-workers.  Able to follow quality plans and work instructions.  Uses a variety of machine tools and gauges, calipers, etc.  Reads blueprints. 

Education and/or Experience:    Minimum requirements include but not limited to Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, completion of a 4-year apprenticeship program, and an additional 15 years work experience in tool & die making.  A combination of education and experience may be substituted.
