Volusia Manufacturers Association (VMA) is the only manufacturing trade association established by manufacturers uniting Volusia and Flagler County Manufacturers and Associates.  The Volusia Manufacturers Association offers information, education, and networking opportunities for members, with over 60 programs annually.  Each month, one member hosts a plant tour for all members to attend to see daily operations and to gain understanding into their business operations.     

The Volusia Manufacturers Association February 2010 Plant tour will be held at Griswold Water Systems on February 17, 2010, from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.  Griswold Water Systems is located at 1597 Industrial Drive in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, with a contact number of 386-663-3370.

Griswold Water Systems (GWS) manufactures a complete line of physical water treatment products for recirculating HVAC and industrial cooling applications including centrifugal separators, sand filters, pot feeders, and electronic water treatment systems and accessories. These electronic water treatment systems are used in a wide variety of home, pool, commercial, municipal, industrial water and wastewater applications.

 Griswold Water Systems, formerly known as Griswold Filtration, initially developed centrifugal separator systems and filtration products for HVAC and industrial cooling systems focusing on improving the cleanliness and efficiency of HVAC and industrial water cooled systems.    Griswold has always been environmentally-conscious with the main focus of its research committed to control scale and bacteria in electronic water systems without the use of harsh chemicals. 

Griswold Water Systems worked closely with customers to monitor, test, and evaluate system performance both before and after installation. This attention to detail and their continuous water monitoring ensures efficient physical water treatment along with maximum possible water and energy savings.  Griswold Water Systems’ products are manufactured and assembled domestically in its U.S. based offices. 

Griswold Water Systems has moved to a new facility in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Jerry Davey, GWS president, will be presiding at their official Ribbon Cutting that is paired with the Volusia Manufacturers Association Plant Tour.  The VMA plant tour will focus on GWS products manufactured and customer application stories.

This plant tour meeting is just one of many that will be presented in 2010 by the Volusia Manufacturers Association for members to interact and learn of other local manufacturing operations.
